Stealing from Molly....

So being a parent has really put a damper on my Blogging skills... so... I am going to cheat and steal my sisters blog... because it is all about me... which makes it like I am writing it myself. :) If you remember, Molly (my little sister) & I had the same due date and we often referred to our pregnancies as "identical." Well, this blog touches on our "Identical Pregnancies."

So I bet you’re wondering whether the identical pregnancies continued? As you probably know, my big sister Browyn and I found out on the same day that we were going to have babies. We had every doctor’s appointment on the same day (until the end). We both were having boys. And we both were due on March 21.

So when I went into labor 2 weeks early, you’d think that was that for the identical pregnancies, right? I mean, what are the odds that Browyn would ALSO go into labor that day? Who cares what the odds are because it happened. We texted Browyn from the hospital and she responded that she, too, was in the labor/delivery wing of HER hospital in Nebraska. Browyn’s labor, unfortunately, wasn’t quite as smooth as mine and so while I ended up having Jack at 7:16 on March 7, Browyn’s kiddo waited until 4:05 AM on March 8. So the identical pregnancies pretty much went through until the end. We’ve been calling her baby “Bing” for the last nine months (nickname for “Baby King”) because they refused to tell us the name. She is now realizing that perhaps that wasn’t the best idea because everyone keeps referring to him as Bing (old habits die hard) even though he has a very lovely name: Brayden “Brady” Allen King.

My sweet nephew.

Browyn has been tweeting the last week and some of them are a pretty hilarious look into a mother’s first week:

Just changed my baby's diaper for the first time. Is it bad that I let him pee all over his face? That boy's got aim!!!

Note to self: if you have a newborn, you need newborn clothes.

Note to self: move dirty diaper AWAY from baby when putting on new one....

Note to self: when you have a baby and go someplace, you need to remember a diaper bag.

Note to self: if you are breastfeeding & your kid got circumcised, make sure you put the nipple cream on your boobs & not the penis cream.

My mother cannot remember my child's name....

Note to self: if you are breastfeeding & have a bloody nipple, your child WILL look like a Cullen when he eats.

My mother once again called my son Brandon...... While saying our dinner prayer.

Note to self: make sure baby wipes are indeed baby wipes and not surface sanitizing wipes before using.....

Note to self: when you have a kid, you need to remember to take him out of the car when you get out of the car......

Willy: "I didn't kiss your kid the first time I met him because he had just come out of your vagina."

Brayden Allen King AKA "Brady"

Howdy all! Our family of 2, I mean 6, has just added a new family member! Brady!!! Brady was born on Monday, March 8th at 4:05AM. He was 7lbs 11oz and 20 inches long. We are THRILLED to have him in our lives and feel so blessed. He is honestly the cutest kid it the world. This is a fact. If you try and tell me differently I will not believe you, so you had better just agree with me!

Here are some pictures of our little prince....

We came home from the hospital yesterday and we were so excited to all be together... (remember... we also have Hannah & Mylie (dogs) and Vincent & Boat-Rider (cats)). They all love Brady already! Hannah even gives him a little kiss on the top of his head whenever she walks by him! :)

We will post more on his 3rd day of life a bit later... the story is still being told...
